Sky Creek
Dharma Center is a cooperative project of several Buddhist Sanghas in
the Chico area. Our purpose is to support and sustain the activities of
Buddhist Sanghas and other dharma groups.
Sky Creek
Dharma Center is:
- A permanent
meditation hall and meeting facility shared by Buddhist meditation groups
in Chico and the surrounding communities.
- An organization
that supports mindful living through spiritual education, community
service and other activities.
- A venue
for celebrations of Buddhist and other spiritual gatherings.
- A place
for meetings and educational events such as retreats, classes, and workshops.
- A serene
location for celebrations of life transitions, such as births, marriages,
deaths.
- A center
for non-partisan advocacy activities in the spirit of engaged Buddhism.
- A community
where practices that embody the connection between spirituality and
environmental sustainability are encouraged.
