Welcome to Sky Creek Dharma Center!

We are now on Instagram!

A non-profit, donation-based meditation center in Chico shared by peer-led Buddhist and Taoist meditation groups since 2004.

We have meditation group meetings Sunday-Thursday and are open to all. Walk-ins are always welcome, no sign-up or appointment is needed!

PLEASE HELP US! Complete this FIVE QUESTION survey to enter into our drawing for three $25 gift cards (or a Sky Creek Dharma Center T-shirt or other swag!). One entry per person. We will hold the drawing in May 2024 and winners will be contacted via email.

Want to figure out what Sky Creek is all about? Our Saturday Open House (10am-noon) is a casual way to be introduced to the center and what we do here. Someone can show you around, discuss the different groups that meet here, and hopefully answer any questions you have. Check our calendar first as Saturday special events will pre-empt this.

The mission of Sky Creek Dharma Center is to support and sustain the activities of Buddhist groups (sanghas) and offer the path to the Dharma to the community. We are a non-profit, donation-based organization. Sangha is a word in Pali or Sanskrit that can be translated roughly as “community”. Sangha is the third of the Three Jewels in Buddhism (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha). The term is commonly used to refer to Buddhist groups.

All of our meditation groups are free of charge but, we ask for donations to sustain the Center. You can donate cash or via our donation page
